Top Free

This is the chart that matters most for anyone installing on a phone without spending money up front. The order below follows the live Google Play top free chart rather than our own opinion, which keeps the list honest: these are the games the platform is currently pushing.

We annotate rather than replace it. A chart position tells you what is popular; it does not tell you whether the game is worth the storage space, the data usage or the ad breaks. That is the gap this page is meant to close - every entry links to a full breakdown with the rating distribution, the update history and the honest caveat.

Expect the usual mix of evergreen titles and whatever launched hard last month. If you are new to Android games, start at the top and work down; the rating counts are shown on every card so you can tell a durable favourite from a launch-week spike.

There are 420 titles on this list. Every card shows the Play Store score and the number of ratings behind it, and every card links to a full review.

It is currently ranked #419 in the Google Play top free chart, At the top of the list right now is Mahjong Empire: Classic Match by PlaySimple Games, rated 5.0 out of 5 from 12,293 ratings. Our full write-up covers what it does well, what it does not, and whether the free tier is actually free.
