Top Grossing

The top grossing chart is the closest thing the Play Store has to a map of where the money actually moves. These are the games with live-service teams, seasonal events and in-app stores large enough to fund a full development studio.

We keep this list because it is useful, but we keep it separate from our recommendations. A top grossing position often means an excellent product and it frequently means an exhausting one - energy timers, energy purchases, a shop that is always open. Every card below links to a review that tells you which side of that line the game falls on.

If you are new to mobile gaming, this is the chart to read rather than install from. It tells you what the industry is currently spending its time on, and that is a decent proxy for where the best new ideas will come from.

There are 220 titles on this list. Every card shows the Play Store score and the number of ratings behind it, and every card links to a full review.

It is currently ranked #219 in the Google Play top grossing chart, At the top of the list right now is Farkle Connect by FunCraft Games, rated 5.0 out of 5 from 132 ratings. Our full write-up covers what it does well, what it does not, and whether the free tier is actually free.
